The Miss World 2026 competition concluded with six accomplished delegates receiving continental titles following the grand final in Nha Trang, Vietnam, on September 5.
Representatives from South Africa, Brazil, Malaysia, Trinidad and Tobago, Spain and the Cook Islands were recognized as the leading delegates from their respective regions.
Who are the Miss World 2026 continental queens?
The continental titleholders reported after the final are:
- Miss World Africa: Romanda Hombir — South Africa
- Miss World Americas: Gabriela Botelho — Brazil
- Miss World Asia: Taanusiya Chetty — Malaysia
- Miss World Caribbean: Georgia-Lee Gill — Trinidad and Tobago
- Miss World Europe: Elisabeth Reynés — Spain
- Miss World Oceania: Tiare Henry-Anguna — Cook Islands
The regional distinctions recognize the strongest-performing eligible contestants from six geographic areas. They are separate from the pageant’s preliminary challenge awards, including Head-to-Head, Top Model, Talent, Sports, Multimedia and Beauty With a Purpose.
Romanda Hombir — Miss World Africa 2026
South Africa’s Romanda Hombir received the Miss World Africa title after reaching the Top 6 of the international competition.
Her advancement placed her among the final delegates considered for the Miss World crown. Hombir was one of two African contestants in the Top 6, joining People’s Choice finalist Snit Habteab of Eritrea.
Gabriela Botelho — Miss World Americas 2026
Brazilian representative Gabriela Botelho was named Miss World Americas after securing a place in the Top 12.
Botelho represented Brazil with an advocacy connected to vulnerable communities and people living with rare diseases. Although she did not advance to the Top 6, she concluded her campaign as her region’s continental titleholder.
Brazil remains a one-time Miss World winner, having earned its first and only overall crown through Lúcia Petterle in 1971.
Taanusiya Chetty — Miss World Asia 2026
Malaysia’s Taanusiya Chetty combined the Miss World Asia title with a second-runner-up finish in the overall competition.
Chetty was also recognized through the Beauty With a Purpose pathway, which carried her into the decisive stages of the competition. She ultimately finished behind Miss World 2026 Joheirry Mola of the Dominican Republic and first runner-up Elisabeth Reynés of Spain.
Her placement represents one of Malaysia’s strongest performances in Miss World history.
Georgia-Lee Gill — Miss World Caribbean 2026
Georgia-Lee Gill of Trinidad and Tobago earned the Miss World Caribbean designation.
Gill had already distinguished herself earlier in the competition by winning the Americas and Caribbean division of the Head-to-Head Challenge. That victory secured her an automatic position in the Top 40.
The Caribbean continental title went to Gill following Joheirry Mola’s victory for the Dominican Republic. As the overall winner, Mola received the Miss World crown rather than a separate regional designation.
Elisabeth Reynés — Miss World Europe 2026
Spain’s Elisabeth Reynés was named Miss World Europe after finishing as the competition’s first runner-up.
Reynés advanced to the Top 6 as Europe’s representative and eventually secured second place overall. She finished immediately behind Joheirry Mola and ahead of Malaysia’s Taanusiya Chetty.
Her strong result gave Spain both a place on the final podium and the European continental honor.
Tiare Henry-Anguna — Miss World Oceania 2026
Representing the Cook Islands, Tiare Henry-Anguna received the Miss World Oceania title.
The distinction gives the Cook Islands an important regional achievement at an edition featuring 111 national representatives. It also ensures that Oceania is represented among the six continental honorees despite the competition format grouping Asia and Oceania during several elimination rounds.
Joheirry Mola wins the Miss World crown
The continental recognitions were announced alongside a historic overall victory for Joheirry Mola Dominguez of the Dominican Republic.
Mola became the 73rd Miss World and only the second Dominican woman to capture the crown. Mariasela Álvarez previously delivered the country’s first Miss World victory in 1982.
Thailand’s Opal Suchata Chuangsri crowned Mola at the conclusion of the final. Spain’s Elisabeth Reynés placed first runner-up, while Malaysia’s Taanusiya Chetty completed the podium as second runner-up.
How did the Philippines perform?
Philippine representative Asia Rose Simpson reached the Top 12 but did not advance to the six-contestant final.
Simpson nevertheless completed a notable campaign. She earned an automatic Top 40 position by winning the Asia and Oceania division of the Head-to-Head Challenge and later placed third in the Talent Challenge.
Her Top 12 finish was the Philippines’ final placement at Miss World 2026.
A successful conclusion to Miss World 2026
The continental titles highlight six delegates whose performances stood out within their regions, even when they did not capture the overall crown.
For South Africa, Brazil, Malaysia, Trinidad and Tobago, Spain and the Cook Islands, the honors provide a significant conclusion to the month-long Miss World Festival in Vietnam.
The overall podium also reflected the international scope of the competition: a Caribbean winner from the Dominican Republic, a European first runner-up from Spain and an Asian second runner-up from Malaysia.
