He was officially crowned and sashed last September as Man of the Year Philippines 2023.

The Kapampangan hunk won Cosmo Manila King last year. And when Cosmo Manila CEO Marc Cubales became the national director of MOTY, he gave Jovy the opportunity to compete internationally.

It’s nice to know that Jovy will now represent the country. Before Cosmo Manila last year, he also joined Mister Grand Philippines but failed to get a title.

He actually competed with RJ De Vera in both Mister Grand PH and Cosmo Manila. Both lost in MGP and while Jovy won in the latter, RJ was named 2nd runner-up. On Misters of Filipinas 2023, however, RJ was crowned Man Hot Star Philippines. So both of them are soon going to compete internationally.
