It’s been a while since the online series Hello Stranger ended, but its story, as well as its characters, are still fresh on my mind – the kilig, the pain, brought back memories from when I was younger and just starting to fall in love. And although there’s a lot of difference between the situation of gay men from my time and the current generation, falling in love is the same feeling no matter which timeline you’re in.

I miss Mico (played by JC Alcantara) who showed us how hard it is to love someone that you interact with everyday, and not be able to say it because you’re still in the closet and is afraid of the consequences.

I also miss Xavier (played by Tony Labrusca) who showed us that even bad boys can be bended and become gentle.

It’s a good thing, though, that we will soon Mico and Xavier together again soon next year. Hello Stranger The Movie has already wrapped up shooting as implied in this Instagram post by Tony:

And look at that comment JC wrote!

So sweet.

Anyway, if there’s anything good that happened this pandemic, it’s how you can watch newly released movie in the comforts of your own home. Imagine watching this in your bed, cuddling with your special someone, in the wee hours of the night. This I’d definitely do.
