After failing to get the Miss International Queen Philippines crown the second time around, Anne Patricia Lorenzo thought that she’s already done with pageantry. On Monday, however, she surprised everyone with an Instagram post that she’s going to represent the country in the international stage by being one of the official candidates of Miss Equality World 2023.

“It is with great pride and honor to announce that I am representing our country in the international stage,” she captioned her post which was a screenshot of her picture on the pageant’s Facebook page.

“The road is never easy, but we are now here,” she wrote.

In another post, she said that she wants to show the world that Pinay transwomen are world class.

“I cannot pass on the chance to represent my country and show the world what a world-class act a Pinay transwoman truly is.”

As of this posting, the Miss Equality World IG page has nine candidates and two of them (including Anne) are representing the Philippines.

In the caption of the photos, the pageant states that it is still awaiting representatives from other countries to “send the picture and the registration.”

Good luck, Anne!
