Binibining Pilipinas will no longer send candidates to Miss Grand International, as the Philippines’ premier beauty pageant will no longer renew its franchise to the Thailand-based international pageant.
Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. revealed the news on Monday night through its social media pages.
Miss Grand Philippines 2022 Roberta Tamondong originally didn’t make the top 10 of Miss Grand International 2022, but she was later on named part of the fifth runners-up as a replacement to one of the girls who failed to sign the contract.
In 2021, many got disappointed with MGI when the Philippine representative failed to even make the first cut.
A year before that, though, Miss Grand Philippines Samantha Bernardo was named first runner-up.
