James Reid has confirmed that he is going back to acting.
In an interview with Ogie Diaz, James said he is going back to acting next year although he didn’t specify if it was through television or the movies.
“Very, very soon,” he said when asked about his acting comeback. “It was always my plan to go back to acting. I just wanted to do music first kasi at the time I felt like, being in a love team, I felt like I was losing my identity.”
But if you’re wondering if he’s going to do a project again with his former girlfriend and onscreen tandem Nadine Lustre, he said he’s not going to do another love team again.
“I don’t think that’s happening,” James said when asked about the possibility of a JaDine comeback. “Out of respect for my girlfriend, Issa, I don’t think I’d ever do another love team.”
With regards to the recent announcement made by his company, Careless, regarding Liza Soberano‘s not being with them anymore, he said there’s no bad blood between them. He also only had praises for the actress.
“We wish her all the best and I hope that she’s safe, and I hope she takes care of herself, and I hope that her dreams really do push through,” he said, adding that Liza will always have a Careless family here whenever she comes back home.
The interview also focused on his falling out with Jeffrey Oh, the business consultant that represented himself as a CEO of Careless in some transactions.
While James is still trying to legally fix stuff that Oh had put the company into, the actor was just happy that he’s not connected to the company anymore.
