Kim Chiu’s van got fired at by unidentified gunmen Wednesday morning in Quezon City.
The incident happened around 6:10 a.m. at Katipunan Avenue near CP Garcia. The actress was en route to taping with her driver and personal assistant.
No one was hurt during the shooting of the bulletproof van.
In an Instagram post a few hours after the incident, Chiu thanked “Papa Jesus” for protecting them.
“This is a bad joke. 6am on my way to taping, I was asleep inside my car then I heard several gun shots, 8 to be exact,” she wrote in the caption of her post showing the state of her vehicle.
She also added that her head could have been hit by one of the bullets had she been not lying down.
According to reports, the unidentified gunmen where riding a motorcycle. The riding-in-tandem went straight to the direction of Balara-Commonwealth after the shooting.
Meanwhile, Kim Chiu was praised by netizens for her professionalism as she still went to taping Love Thy Woman despite the shooting incident that endangered her life.
