Markki Stroem will represent the Philippines in Mister Universe 2024! The actor-singer-model-DJ will be flying to Los Angeles in September next year to compete against over 50 men from all over the world to try to bring home the title.
Some of the contestants that Markki will be competing with are quite experienced in pageantry, like Argentina’s Angel Olaya and Argentina’s Jose Roberto Mena.
Laziz Rustamov will also represent Uzbekistan. He’s a former Pinoy Big Brother housemate who, just like Angel and Roberto, joined the Philippine-based Mister International 2023.
I’m excited for Markki. He would surely ace the swimwear round as he has done so in his previous Bench fashion show stints. As a theater actor, he also knows how to look comfortable on stage.
Most importantly, he can converse well. I’ve listened to him countless of times in The Morning Rush.
