Misters of Filipinas 2026 officially kicked off its competition with its Opening Night and Press Presentation, where four candidates were named Press Favorites.

The event was held on October 2 at Studio W9, La Fuerza Compound, Chino Roces Avenue, Makati City, bringing together the 22 official candidates competing in this year’s edition.

Four candidates stood out during the press presentation and earned recognition from members of the media:

  • Nueva Ecija – Arvin Jay Santos
  • Novaliches, Quezon City – Vincent Mark Caringal
  • Tarlac Province – Ishe Venn Quiray
  • Laoag – Nathaniel Bayani

The four candidates made an impression with their presence, confidence and personality during one of the first major activities of Misters of Filipinas 2026.

Being selected as a Press Favorite could give the candidates some early momentum as the competition progresses, although the main titles will ultimately be determined later in the pageant.

Baguio Wins Pre-Arrival Voting Challenge

Another candidate also received recognition during the Opening Night.

Richmond Carl Wayan Ngolab of Baguio wins the Misters of Filipinas 2026 Pre-Arrival Voting Challenge

Richmond Carl Wayan Ngolab, representing Baguio, was announced as the winner of the Misters of Filipinas 2026 Pre-Arrival Voting Challenge.

The online voting challenge ran from September 28 until October 2, 2026 at 7:00 PM.

The award was presented by Sysprotech, the official voting and tabulation partner of Misters of Filipinas.

Ngolab’s victory shows that the Baguio representative already has strong support heading into the main stages of the competition.

22 Candidates Compete in Misters of Filipinas 2026

A total of 22 candidates are competing in Misters of Filipinas 2026, representing different cities and provinces across the country.

The Opening Night and Press Presentation gave pageant followers their first major opportunity to see this year’s batch together as the competition gets underway.
With Santos, Caringal, Quiray and Bayani emerging as the early favorites of the press and Ngolab winning the pre-arrival voting challenge, several candidates have already started attracting attention.

More activities are expected as the 22 contenders continue their journey toward the Misters of Filipinas 2026 finals.
