Karen Ibasco from the Philippines was named Miss Earth 2017 during the coronation night on Saturday, November 4, 2017. The pageant was held at the Mall of Asia Arena, hosted by James Deakin.

The 26-year-old Filipino-Chinese bested 84 other candidates from around the globe. She succeeded 2016 winner Katherine Espin of Ecuador.
Karen was the fourth Philippine representative to win the Miss Earth crown. Karla Paula Henry won the title in 2008, Jamie Herrell in 2014, and Angelia Ong in 2015.
