Atom Araullo has switched networks, as revealed on Thursday in 24 Oras, the flagship news broadcast of GMA-7.

Atom used to be part of 24 Oras, where he hosted the news program’s sports segment.

Before that, as a kid, he was also one of the hosts of 5 and Up, a magazine show for preteens that aired on ABC5 (now TV5) and GMA-7.

In 2007, he became part of ABS-CBN as journalist and TV host. He stayed in the network until just recently.

Last September 14, it was announced on Umagang Kay Ganda (one of the last Kapamilya shows he hosted before the transfer) that Atom would be leaving the network.

Last week, the journalist took to Instagram to post a thank you message to ABS-CBN.

“Although I am taking a new path, I have nothing but respect and gratitude for the company that helped me become the journalist I am today,” he wrote.

In the same post, he also said that the time has come for him “to explore emerging opportunities and challenges beyond the organization.”

On his return to GMA-7, he will be added to the list of hosts of iWitness, the show known for its award-winning documentaries.
