Bangladesh withdraws from 69th Miss Universe competition

Miss Universe Bangladesh announced on Monday that its 2020 winner Tangia Methila will not be going to the US to compete in the 69th Miss Universe pageant, citing travel restrictions as the reason.

“Due to lockdown and travel restrictions we could not finalize the preparations. So we will not be able to participate Miss Universe 2020,” the Miss Universe Bangladesh wrote on its social media post.

“We already informed Miss Universe USA management accordingly earlier this week,” the post further read.
