At his first attempt at vlogging, Laurenti Dyogi (who is fondly called Direk Lauren in showbiz) revealed that Maine Mendoza auditioned for a past season of Pinoy Big Brother but failed to become a housemate.
Direk Lauren is the man behind the hit reality show and he himself picks the would-be housemates from thousands of auditionees.
“That’s a bad call on my part,” he said in the vlog after showing the video clip of Maine.
It was PBB 737 won by Jimboy Martin and Miho Nishida that Maine auditioned for.
The season began June 2015, a month before Maine was launched by Eat Bulaga! as Yaya Dub in its Kalyeserye segment.
“Siguro hindi ako ang kanilang kapalaran,” Direk Lauren added.
Aside from Maine, he also revealed that Nadine Lustre auditioned and failed to make it in PBB Teen Clash of 2010.
The season was won by James Reid, who is now Nadine’s reel and real love team.
