DMX Comvaleñoz from the Philippines was named the runner-up of the recently concluded second season of Asia’s Got Talent.

The hiphop dance group was among the favorites in the show. With their skills, especially as seen during their final performance that included jaw-dropping stunts and cross-dressing fun, many thought DMX Comvaleñoz would be able to give the Philippines a back-to-back win after El Gamma Penumbra’s success in the show’s first season in 2015.

It was The Sacred Riana, a silent illusionist from Indonesia, who was declared the winner during the results night that was held in Singapore on Thursday.

There were two other Pinoy acts in the finals, including beatboxer Neil Rey Garcia Llanes who placed third, and Urban Crew, another dance group, that became part of the bottom 3 and didn’t make the first cut during the results night.

Digital dancer Canion Shijirbat from Mongolia placed fourth.

Magician Sobhi Shaker from Malaysia and the contortionist group ADEM Dance Crew from Kyrgyzstan were part of the middle two.

Along with Uban Crew, other acts that became part of the bottom 3 were singer/harpist Angela July from Indonesia and young musician Feng E from Taiwan.

Asia’s Got Talent season 2 was hosted by Alan Wong and Justin Bratton. Judges included David Foster and Anggun from season 1. They were joined this season by Jay Park.
