Miss Universe 2019 is happening live in Atlanta, Georgia, where 90 beautiful ladies from around the world are competing for the title and the chance to succeed last year’s winner Catriona Gray from the Philippines.
The semi-finalists were chosen by region.
From Africa and Asia Pacific, the first 5 semi-finalists were South Africa, Indonesia, Vietnam, Nigeria and Thailand.
From Europe, the lucky girls were contestants from Albania, France, Iceland, Croatia and Portugal.
The Americas had Puerto Rico, Peru, Dominican Republic, Mexico and USA.
The final 5 semi-finalists that came from all 3 regional groups were Philippines, Venezuela, India, Brazil and Colombia.
The all girls selection committee included Paulina Vega, Sazan Hendrix, Cara Mund, Bozoma Saint John, Riyo Mori, Crystle Stewart and Gaby Espino.
