Miss Mexico Vanessa Ponce de Leon was crowned Miss World 2018 on December 8 during the pageant’s finals that was held in Sanya China.
Ponce bested over a hundred contestants from all over the world, including the Philippines’ Katarina Rodriguez who failed to enter the top 30.
Miss Thailand Nicolene Limsnukan was named the runner-up, while Miss Belarus Maria Vasilevich, Miss Jamaica Kadijah Robinson, and Miss Uganda Quiin Abenakyo were part of the top 5.
The top 12 also had contestants from France, Martinique, Panama, Mauritius, Nepal, New Zealand and Scotland.
Top 30 had Bangladesh, Barbados, Belgium, China, Chile, Cook Islands, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Nigeria, Northern Island, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, United States, Venezuela and Vietnam.
