I was excited when news came out that Jovy Angel was to represent the Philippines in Man of the Year 2023. I even recently blogged about it, thinking he had a big chance of bringing home the title because of his looks and because he seemed to have no inhibitions (read: daring).
And then a few days ago, a new development came out. Jovy was replaced by Vandave Lopez Paragas as the new Man of the Year Philippines 2023. To think that the male pageant’s finals is happening in less than a couple of weeks.
The contestants from other countries have actually flown to Bali, Indonesia already while news about a new Philippine representative is being circulated.
What do you think of Vandave’s chances considering the lack of preparation time?
Anyway, just this year, he was named second runner-up in I Am Model Search International, and before that, he was named Misters of Filipinas Tourism and Culture Universe in 2019.
Well, I’m sure his training for I Am Model Search International is still fresh in his memory. Let’s just wish him good luck.
