Kim Chiu’s 1st solo movie, The Ghost Bride, was a real hit as it posted big gross earning on its opening day. The horror movie opened in Philippine cinemas on November 1, 2017, a non-working holiday in observance of All Saints Day.

The Ghost Bride posted a P14.3-million earning on its 1st day. And Kim was very happy about it, saying her happiness was beyond words.
The movie is about the untold Chinese tradition of ghost wedding where dead couples (or sometimes a dead and a living person) are married.
