Daniel Padilla is set to star in the upcoming movie, Nang Mapagod si Kamatayan, together with Zanjoe Marudo. Directed by Dan Villegas, the movie is based on short story written by no other than the National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts Ricky Lee.
Set to be shown this year, the movie is a buddy comedy that discusses mysteries about love, life, friendship and death.
Nang Mapagod si Kamatayan is adapted to screenplay by Carmi Raymundo.
Daniel and Zanjoe are good friends in real life, as evident in their social media posts. This project, however, is their first time to be in the same movie together.
With regards to the material, Daniel revealed during the project reveal on Thursday that he immediately said yes to the project upon hearing the title alone. It was later that he learned that the movie would be based on the Ricky Lee short story of the same title.
Meanwhile, another friend of Daniel and Zanjoe also has a book-based movie that’s showing very soon. Joshua Garcia is starring in Ang Mga Kaibigan ni Mama Susan based on Bob Ong’s book of the same title.
