Herlene Budol is starring in the upcoming series, Magandang Dilag, which premieres June 26th on GMA-7’s afternoon block. The soap had its media conference on Saturday, attended by the cast.
The main plot of Magandang Dilag is revenge, and based on its poster, a major facial transformation will be done on Herlene’s character (so she could have her revenge?).
Aside from this project, Herlene is also one of the candidates of Miss Grand Philippines 2023 which will have its finale on July 13 at the Mall of Asia Arena. Let’s just hope that this project will not get in the way of her Miss Grand PH preparations.
Herlene has two good looking leading men in Magandang Dilag – Rob Gomez and Benjamin Alves. The latter has been in the scene for quite some time now but the former is fairly new, although he belongs to a showbiz/political clan.
I actually first saw Rob in the movie A Girl and a Guy while on lock down and only had Netflix to keep me company. I found his acting fairly good for a new comer and he was very good looking on screen. I would eventually find out that he’s the nephew of then heartthrob Gary Estrada.
Magandang Dilag is Herlene’s first starring role in a television series. Aside from Benjamin and Rob, also joining her in the project are Maxine Medina, Al Tantay, Sandy Andolong, Adrian Alandy, Bianca Manalo, Pamela Prinster, Riel Lomadilla, Angela Alarcon, and Jade Tecson, and Chanda Romero.
