Ten-year-old Jhon Clyd Talili of Surigao was named the first-ever winner of It’s Showtime‘s Tawag ng Tanghalan Kids on Saturday, June 10th. He beat 4 other finalists with his rendition of the classic singing contest piece, I Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing.

As the champion, Jhon Clyd got a million pesos, a house and lot, a trophy, and a business package. And, of course, this could also be the start of a singing career for the kid.

Jhon Clyd’s runner-up, meanwhile, was Keifer Sanchez who is also from Mindanao. Third place went to Mackie Empuerto of Metro Manila, 4th was Sheenna Belarmino of Visayas, and the 5th placer was Francis Concepcion of, again, Mindanao.
