Jona sang a fiery rendition of the song Init sa Magdamag on Sunday, during the launch of the television series with the same title. The teleserye stars Gerald Anderson, JM De Guzman and Yam Concepcion.
The song was originally recorded as a duet by Sharon Cuneta and Nonoy Zuñiga as the theme song of the 1983 Laurice Guillen movie of the same title that starred Lorna Tolentino, Dindo Fernando and Joel Torre.
Jona’s version, though, gave the song a different feel. Sexier, even. A great fit for the TV remake’s sexy story with its equally sexy stars.
