JB Saliba was named Mister World Philippines 2018 during the pageant’s finals that was held Tuesday night (October 23) at the Newport Performing Arts Theater of Resorts World Manila.
JB bested 15 other good looking candidates for the title and the opportunity to represent the country in the next Mister World pageant which will take place in the Philippines next year.
Before being named Mister World Philippines 2018, the 25-year-old athlete/actor from Olongapo City got the most number of special awards, including Mr. Bench Body, Best Skin, Mr. Techno Marine, and Mr. Blue Water Day Spa.
There were also 3 other titles given out. Marco Poli won the title Mister Supranational Philippines 2018; Robin Hanrath was named Mister Eco Philippines 2018; and Denver Hernandez clinched the Mister Multinational Philippines 2018 title.
Ameen Sardouk and Wilfred Placencia were named 1st runner-up and 2nd runner-up, respectively.
Also part of the top 8 were Joy Jerome Evangelista who wowed the crowd when he answered in pure Filipino, and Abdullah Cheng.
Other special awards given out were Best in Talent (Evangelista); Multimedia Award (Hernandez); Mister Formal Wear (Poli); Sport Challenge Winner (Hernandez); Mister Gamboa Coffee (Poli); Mister Bench (Hernandez); and Mister Photogenic (Hanrath).
