The Maalaala Mo Kaya episode last Saturday (June 1, 2019), which featured the story of an OFW, topped the national television ratings of Kantar Media.
The MMK episode starred actress Irma Adlawan as Ma’am Nena, a Filipino teacher who became a victim of human trafficking and experienced abuse abroad.
Also in the episode was Agot Isidro as Ma’am Nena’s employer.
The episode scored 28.4% national TV rating, 10% more than what its rival program, Magpakailanman, got (18%).
