Vikas Usham of Manipur (India) was named Mister National Universe 2019 during the pageant’s finale that was held in Thailand Monday night.
Vikas Usham, 21, stands 5’11” and is a commercial model. He is the second from India to win the title. Pankaj Ahlawat won the contest’s first edition in 2017.
Mister National Universe 2019 was held at the grand ballrom of Holiday Inn Vana Nava in Hua Hin, Thailand. Last year’s winner, Nepal’s Kaushik Prasai, was present to pass on the title.
Jan Kim Santos Vergel, who represented the island of Mindoro (Philippines) was the first runner-up. The other representative from the Philippines, Wilson Yalung, only made the top 10.
Second runner-up was Caleb Zheng Eg French from Malaysia, third runner-up was Duc Hieu Dang from Vietnam, and fourth runner-up was Alexander Coles from United Kingdom.
The top 10 semi-finalists included the Philippines, Thailand, Brazil, Russia, and Puerto Rico.
