Pilipinas Got Talent season 6 named its first two grand finalists during the season’s first results night on Sunday, March 25.

Six acts performed over the two-episode first semi-finals week to get the nods of the viewers, who, in turn, voted for their favorite acts via text and Google.

The Nocturnal Dance Company (NDC) got the highest percentage of the combined text and Google votes (44.55%), making them automatically advance to the grand finals.

The NDC performed a dance routine that was was infused with Filipino folk dances. Complete with the country’s traditional head gear, salakot, the group easily found their way to the viewers’ hearts.

Comedian Orville Tonido and vape artist JM Bayot were among the top 3 based on the viewers’ votes. Only one of them, however, could advance to the grand finals and that would be based on the judges’ votes.

In the end, only judge Robin Padilla voted for JM. Judges Vice Ganda and Angel Locsin gave their votes to Orville, making the lipsync comedy artist the second act to advance to the grand finals.

The vote standing of the semi-finalists was shown towards the end of the Sunday episode. It was revealed that JM got the second highest percentage with 20.7%, followed by Orville with 19.8%.

The other three acts that didn’t make the tol 3 were pole dancer Johnny Villanueva (6.56%); the singkil dancers from Marawi, Salimpokaw Ko Masa Dance Troupe (5.85%); and the singing trio Maka Girls (2.53%).
